Applications on behalf of Individuals
(to the Beamsley Trust)
Download a pdf of the application form.
This is an editable pdf, which your referral agency can fill in off-line, and send back to us to progress your application.
Your application must come through a referral agency or a referee, e.g. Citizens’ Advice Bureau, Social Services, Religious Leader/Doctor, key worker. Please note that the Trust does not accept applications from educational establishments on behalf of pupils.
Direct applications by an Individual are not considered.
Generally Beamsley Trust gives grants from £100 – £1,500
Please ask your referral agency to email your completed application form and supporting documents to: enquiries@craventrust.org.uk If this is an issue, they can call the Administrator on 07954 803327
Applications will be considered at Trustee meetings. Deadlines for applications to be considered as well as the dates of the Trustee meetings at which they will be decided upon are given on the following table.
After your Beamsley Trust application is received, and before the Trustees meet, a Trustee will contact your referring organisation to discuss your application. You will not be expected to speak to a Trustee yourself so you should make sure that you provide your referring organisation with any relevant information including your financial circumstances.
You will be notified of the decision soon after the Trustee meeting.
Applications are considered at Trustee meetings, which happen on the following dates. There are deadlines for applications to be considered prior to each meeting.
| wdt_ID | DEADLINE | TRUSTEE MEETING |
|---|---|---|
| 16 | 24/06/2026 | 24/07/2026 |
| 17 | 14/09/2026 | 14/10/2026 |
| 18 | 16/12/2026 | 20/01/2027 |
| 19 | 08/03/2027 | 07/04/2027 |
Please note that late applications are not acceptable, but they may be passed to the next grant-making round. We would be grateful if you could avoid last-minute submissions as it could delay the process and cause a backlog – the earlier the better!
The Beamsley Trustees offer grants to residents within The Craven Trust area (see map), who are in need or hardship, or experiencing distress. This could mean paying for items, services or facilities which help to reduce their difficulties.
The Trust does NOT award grants for the following:
Decisions are at the Trustees’ discretion and all information is treated with utmost confidentiality.
After completing the application form, please check it carefully and make sure you have included as much information as possible.
The Trustees cannot commit themselves to repeat or renew a grant.
If you are unsuccessful you will be advised whether you should re-apply.
Please provide evidence of your circumstances, in particular your financial circumstances, to support your application (authorised if possible) e.g: copies of bank statements, corespondence with benefits agencies, notices, etc.
You may be requested to contact Trustees after 6 months to confirm how the grant money has been spent and how it has helped you or your client.
Section 1
The name of the organisation should be that of the parent legal body, the one with overall responsibility. If the applicant is a project within the organisation, use a separate sheet explaining what the project is/does and who is involved along with its relationship to the parent organisation.
Section 2
Please state briefly what your aims and activities are to give us a picture of your organisation rather than the project you are applying for. Trustees may ask you for more information later.
Section 3
This gives you an opportunity to explain why you require a grant, exactly how it will be used, what difference you think it will make to your organisation and how you think it will affect/improve the community it serves. It is important to let us know when you think you will need our grant as grants must be claimed within 12 months of approval being received.
Project
The Trust requires additional items of information about the project – there is a list at the end of the form and our usual requirements are for three quotes to be submitted with your application. If you are unable to provide any of this information please contact the administrator, Heather Murdoch, for advice.
